HISTORY
The Tarsus Commodity Exchange first was founded on 1925.But, The Tarsus Commodity Exchange was founded by the permission of Ministry of Industry and Trade on 15 March 1952. The Tarsus Commodity Exchange was founded by Hasan Karamehmet, Lütfü Arman,Bekir Sıtkı Tısoğlu , Tevfik Ökten, Kasım Ekenler, Kamil Dirlik , Abdullah Ökten, Mustafa Münif Tan, Hilmi Seçkin, Suphi Sabah, Hakkı Ekincioğlu. First President of Commodity Exchange was Mr. İbrahim Kozacıoğlu. First Secretary General was Mr Yaşar Sönmez.
Tarsus province is in the south of Turkey region, and 25 km west of Mersin and 45 km east of Adana.
The Tarsus Commodity Exchange has been performing its activities since 1952 and still has 3,120 m² of land and has a management building, meeting hall,180 m² exchange hall.
